Why Bears?

When it comes to achieving tough goals and handling uncertainty, ambitious human leaders and bears have much in common:

Why 12 Bear Secrets?

'BEAR' is an acronym dating from my proactivity research and practice over the last 30 years. This includes work at the Oxford Scenarios Programme, my prize-winning MBA project at Henley Business School and input from research at other centres of excellence.

The summary-level 'B,E,R' construct (Believe You Can, Energized To, Reasons To) is based on research by the world's leading authority on proactivity, Professor Dr Sharon K Parker.

I parachuted in the 'A' (be Attuned to the situation) based on my real-world experience. 

These have been summarized into the 12 key success factors ('Bear Secrets') in our Model.

David Santineer (Co-Founder and Lead Facilitator)

David has led high-performing, and also misfiring teams, in the private, public and third sectors. 

His consultancy work has ranged from multi-£Bn impacts affecting millions of people, to assisting small, local not-for-profits. 

David is Certified to deliver the highest level of AQ (Adaptability Quotient) and Scared So What consultancy. He's also an alumnus of the Oxford Scenarios Programme (used to to handle uncertainty) and other high-impact leadership programmes.
